Storage Engineer

Short Description

We are looking for two Storage Engineers to join our Cloud Storage organisation in Hungary, supporting the storage infrastructure behind SAP Concur, Ariba and Fieldglass production services.The role focuses on the operation, maintenance and optimisation of enterprise NetApp storage environments, with an emphasis on availability, performance, data protection and operational resilience.You will work with production storage infrastructure, supporting day-to-day operations as well as engineering activities across on-premises, cloud and hybrid environments.

Description

• Administer, maintain and optimise NetApp storage environments.
• Manage storage provisioning, monitoring, performance and lifecycle activities.
• Support NAS and SAN infrastructure, including NetApp ONTAP and SnapMirror.
• Contribute to storage migrations, capacity planning and hybrid storage solutions.
• Support backup, disaster recovery and business continuity activities.
• Investigate and resolve production incidents, perform root cause analysis and follow up on corrective actions.
• Participate in operational improvements, formal change management and technical documentation.
• Support storage security hardening, compliance activities and audit evidence preparation.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience administering and supporting NetApp ONTAP environments.
• Practical knowledge of NAS and SAN technologies.
• Experience with SnapMirror replication and data protection.
• Understanding of storage provisioning, maintenance, optimisation and lifecycle management.
• Exposure to AWS and/or GCP storage services and hybrid architectures.
• Fundamental Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience supporting production environments and resolving technical incidents.
• Familiarity with change management, security and compliance requirements.

Experience with PowerShell, Python or Ansible, as well as exposure to PCI DSS, SOC 2, backup and disaster recovery, would be an advantage.
