Description
- Lead medium- to high-complexity, end-to-end sourcing and contracting projects
- Understand, manage and ensure full coverage of business requirements throughout the sourcing process
- Develop sourcing strategies in line with the relevant category strategy
- Define go-to-market approaches and supplier selection criteria
- Coordinate and manage supplier selection processes
- Lead contract negotiations; create, amend and manage contract approvals
- Operationalize contracts and manage post-award contract activities
- Manage supplier performance and relationships, including senior-level stakeholder engagement
- Proactively identify and deliver value creation opportunities
- Prepare reports, perform data analysis and provide decision support
- Lead continuous improvement and efficiency enhancement initiatives
- Support and mentor junior team members
- Ensure full compliance with bp’s Code of Conduct and HSSE requirements
Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience (preferably in business or economics)
- Procurement-related professional certification is an advantage
Experience and Skills:- Minimum 5 years of experience in end-to-end sourcing, contracting and negotiations
- At least 3 years of category-specific sourcing experience
- Experience in an industrial environment (oil & gas industry is an advantage)
- Leadership, coordination and mentoring experience
- Knowledge of supplier performance management processes
- Experience working in an international, multinational environment
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills
- Strong analytical skills (market and financial analysis)
- Confident communication with internal and external stakeholders
- Fluent English, both written and spoken
- Strategic mindset with the ability to develop sourcing strategies
- Global business perspective and experience
- Ability to work independently under pressure and tight deadlines
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
- Experience with Ariba and/or Salesforce systems is an advantage
