Short Description
We are looking for two experienced HANA / Big Data Database Engineers to join our team in Hungary, supporting a GCP-based database and big-data platform environment.The role combines production support, complex technical troubleshooting, change management and automation across a technology landscape including SAP HANA, Hadoop, Kafka, Cassandra and Redis.You will work closely with platform and development teams to resolve technical issues, improve operational stability and automate recurring activities.
Description
- Provide incident management and technical troubleshooting across the HANA and big-data platform stack.
- Investigate complex issues, identify root causes and coordinate resolution with relevant technical teams.
- Support change implementation, validation and issue resolution.
- Provide technical support to development teams working with the supported platforms.
- Support operational activities across SAP HANA, Hadoop, Kafka, Cassandra and Redis.
- Develop and maintain automation and operational tooling using Python and Ansible.
- Contribute to platform stability, repeatability and continuous improvement.
- Support day-to-day operations in a structured production environment.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience supporting and troubleshooting SAP HANA environments.
- In-depth knowledge of Hadoop and practical experience supporting big-data platforms.
- Good Python skills, particularly for automation and operational tooling.
- Experience with Ansible for infrastructure or platform automation.
- Exposure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and cloud-based platform environments.
- Experience with incident and change management in a production environment.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to investigate complex technical issues independently.
