About the Position:

This is a high-profile leadership role with the opportunity to make a significant impact across the business as we continue to grow. We are looking for a Project Delivery Manager with People Management responsibilities, with experience on Web/Mobile development, so technical experience in this field is critical, whilst it will be less hands on.  A client facing role, you will act a partner to the wider business, while taking on responsibility for managing multiple projects through use of best practices. The role involves managing a number of the development team which is approx 15 at present, but is now in scaling mode and requires an outwardly positive person who will hit ground running, and build collaborative relationships to support the dynamic environment we operate.

Tasks:

  • 70% Project Delivery, 30% People Management
  • Solution design both in sales and production including writing collateral
  • Leadership on the technical direction, engineering quality and execution of product development
  • Architectural coherence in multiple projects, ensuring truly effective deliveries
  • Reliability, availability and support of components in production
  • Fostering a strong team of cross functional members including performance and personal development
  • Client facing, coding, architecting, and get deep into the project if required.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience of delivering multiple digital projects including scalable and secured web applications,  
  • Proven team leadership and line management showing team growth
  • Experience using Git (BitBucket, Github, Gitlab, etc…)
  • React, React Native, Flutter, HTML5, CSS3, SASS, Bootstrap
  • Extensive experience in writing scalable web services using node.js
  • Designing and developing web services using the AWS stack
  • Knowledge of OOP & Design Patterns
  • Streaming and hardware TV boxes is beneficial
  • Confident and happy with clients
  • Strong communication skills externally and internally – essential
  • Able to deep dive, code when reqired and lead the teams
  • A natural and commercially astute leader with a positive and friendly attitude
  • Great written and verbal communication skill
  • Able to discuss highly technical aspects in a coherent way having gauged the audience
  • Able to work alongside the highly respected long term technical leader
